Welcome to The Okae-Asante Eye Foundation

The Okae-Asante Eye Foundation, established in August 2024, is a legally incorporated non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to transforming lives through accessible and quality eye care. Operating within Ghana and beyond, our mission is to promote eye health, prevent blindness, and restore vision for underserved and vulnerable communities.

What We Do

At The Okae-Asante Eye Foundation, we focus on several key areas to deliver comprehensive support and care:

  • Eye Screenings/Outreaches: Organizing community-based medical outreaches to provide free eye screenings, consultations, and management.
  • Eye Health Education & Promotion: Educating communities on the importance of eye health and early detection of conditions that may lead to visual impairment.
  • Provision of Optical Aids: Provision of spectacles and low vision devices to individuals in need.
  • Surgical Interventions: Facilitating sight-restoring surgeries for individuals with conditions such as cataracts, ptyerigium, glaucoma, etc.
